Every year the QCDA has a cake competition where Novices and Children right through to Masters compete. This also provides a wonderful display for the public and showcases what can be achieved in cake and sugar. Last year the Expo attracted over approx 2000 guests, members and interested members of the public. The Expo aims to provide a platform for competition, to continually raise cake decorating standards by teaching, while promoting interest for fellow and prospective decorators and the public.

We have demonstrations, workshops and branch displays to facilitate learning and interest. We are pleased to welcome new members and are finding that many young and older, enthusiastic prospective decorators attend our Expos, looking to learn exciting, innovative and new methods to decorate cakes and to produce sugar art. With the excitement of hosting well known, international, interstate and local special guest demonstrators, everyone eagerly awaits this special event. This also provides a perfect place for related businesses to showcase products with vast numbers of the right and excited customer base attending in one place.
