Earlier this year owner of A Little Cake Place, Caitlin Mitchell, took over a range of cake decorating products formerly produced by Menina Flower Paste and relaunched them under her own name, BYcaitlinmitchell. The range includes ready to roll Gum Paste, which is available in a wide range of colours; Sugar Glue; Moulding Fat; and a Royal Icing Mix, which is available in three colours.
The Gum Paste range is ready to use and has been designed to be smooth, silky and rolls incredibly thin. It is ideal for flowers and ornamental cake decorations. The Royal Icing Mix only requires the addition of water, which is mixed until you reach your desired consistency. It can be used for fine lace & extension pipework as well as for bolder English Overpiping. Both products are freeze-thaw stable, so they can be used over and over to eliminate wastage. The moulding fat is a complimentary product to prevent the paste from sticking to your work surface and hands, and the Sugar Glue is designed to adhere sugar work to your design.
