Pau-Lin Teo is one of the most inventive and sought after cake artists in Singapore. Formerly a newspaper journalist, she took a detour into cake decorating when she couldn’t find a baker who could make her a modern, statement – making cake for her wedding in 2006.
Thus began a three-year journey in which she learnt the art of baking, decorating, experimenting, screaming and hustling friends into allowing her to make their wedding cakes. Her journey culminated with Crummb, an artisanal studio that specializes in bespoke cakes for weddings or any occasion that calls for an edible conversation piece.
Drawing design inspiration from the fields of fashion, architecture, graphics and crafts, she is known for injecting Asian influences to her clean, intricate designs. Her work is contemporary, unique and above all delicious.
